Complex Enhanced 8.5.2 Change Log

DESIGN CLEANUP
•Removed the trade container and the trade mechanic due to inefficiency. Performance increase to be expected.
I understand that the change but how do you think that manual diplomacy is possible in CPU vs Human player situations?

Also I appreciate changes been published frequently but looking at slow connection issues I suggest that you use Subversion Or similar tech where players will need to download modified files only.

Yes it`s possible. It caused a lot of lag though, which is one of the main reasons we removed it. In practical terms, these containers could be very easily picked off.
Also note that playing well in this game (and most RTS games) will result in you having only few resources unspent. A mechanic that rewards stockpiling does not really help here.


About patches... those would cause a lot of complications. We`ve managed to cut the size of the complex mod by half. Future updates will not be numerous after 8.8.
When we push out Rebirth, the size will be even smaller.

Thanks for the insight but doesn't satisfy my quest Very Happy 

Can't the mechanism be simple enough to donate RU by typing RU in a text box capable with validations restricted by RUs available, etc? AOE style !!

Subversion will definitely increase some complicacy but not size of the yield. Think about it...it will be easy to maintain at Dev's end as well.

Diplomacy with donations already exists.

The devs end does not become more simple at all by creating patches, unfortunately.

Oh CpU matches... that might be a problem. Diplomacy only works in multiplayer. See diplomacy menu.

Subversions are a development feature, not something end players see, however about patches that's something that Is doable, most likely for rebirth once the cleanup is done.
