wreckage idea

is it possible to set new code for debris and ship wreckage?
so wreckage will actually match the ship. i've seen destroyed vayg dessies with higgaran parts floating around.
also i've seen mod somewhere where flagship was detonated and broke apart, while still keeping parts of the model floating. thats pretty neat. althou is more of a cosmetic feature and wouldnt be a priority... but a something to think about.
what if there were parts of destroyed ship still floating around. in order to salvage the big parts, miner missiles would have to blew it apart for salvage to be possible... (i dont really know why are those missiles used for anyway)

Wreckage that matches each ship would require the creation of debris specific to each ship which would spawn on the death of that ship type. Lots of work!

And if LoDs done wrong, it'll lag. On top of that, we need modelers for that. People that know what they're doing and are good at it.

We kinda lack those atm... :/

I'm not stopping you. The opposite even, but I don't think you want to be modelling 200+ ships for debris LoDs just like the HW2 devs didn't want to. xD
